Moise Milenge

  • My name is Moise Milenge
  • I’m known as Moise (pronounced “Moses”)
  • I was born in the country of Rwanda in East Africa, but I moved to the United States 6 years ago and attended high school in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • I am a sophomore at Grinnell college studying computer science and art.
  • This is my first year on staff at Falling Creek
  • I’m teaching soccer and woodworking
  • I am both an early bird and a night owl. I am most productive in the morning, but I also enjoy staying up late and working into the night.
  • If I had my own talk show, I think my first guests would be my two best friends – they are like my brothers and they would help me set the tone for the show. They’re also people I know and trust, which would make it easier for me to relax and be myself on camera and in front of an audience. We can talk about anything and everything, and we always have a good time.
  • My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love everything about it! The festive decorations, delicious food, and precious time spent with family and friends.
  • If I could live anywhere for a year, I would go back to my home country of Rwanda. Rwanda is special to me; I grew up there and have fond memories of playing soccer with friends and eating my grandmother’s cooking. I miss the sense of community where everyone knows each other.
  • My favorite way to exercise is by playing soccer. I also enjoy going to the gym – I like lifting weights and doing cardio.
  • A fun fact about me is that I started playing soccer when I was only three years old! I’ve loved the game ever since.
  • I am most looking forward to learning about other people’s perspectives, cultures, and experiences at camp this summer. I think it is very important to learn about other people’s beliefs and traditions, and I think camp will be a great place to do that.
