Ethan Jones

  • My name is Ethan Jones
  • I’m known as Jonesy
  • I’m from South Africa
  • This is my first year on staff at Falling Creek
  • I’m teaching Woodworking and the F.A.R.M.
  • I have been traveling for over 3 years now so I’ve done a huge range of work, like waitering, construction, cooking, digital marketing and much more. However, my passion was when I wasn’t working, I like to travel and see new things so I’d constantly go hiking or backpacking into places I’ve never been. I backpacked into the Rocky Mountains for a week, Climbed up to the glaciers in Glacier Lake National Park. I’ve camped and walked through Kruger National Park in South Africa and so much more. I think the world that we live in is so amazing and I want to dedicate my life to exploring and experiencing what it has to offer. That being said, it is on my bucket list this year to go and see the Northern Lights, so that’ll be one of my major adventures this year.
  • Early bird or night owl? Early Bird, but I honestly can do both
  • If I had my own late night talk show, my first guest would be Steve Irwin. I really love his mindset and approach to nature and think he’d have some awesome stories and experiences to share.
  • My favorite holiday is Halloween, its close to my birthday and gives me an excuse to throw a huge party with the best dress code ever.
  • If I could live anywhere in the world for a year, I would choose Thailand. I really love the jungle and want to visit the abandoned temples and cities that are lost in it. I think it would be a really cool experience exploring the islands and working over there for a year.
  • My favorite way to get in some exercise is by hiking in the mountains
  • Fun Fact: I absolutely love music, and according to my yearly summary on Apple Music, I listened to 650 different genres last year.
  • I really look forward to learning how the camp works and being apart of something that helped me find my passion when I was younger. As well as woodworking, can’t wait to make my own walking stick.
