Clement Diot

  • My name Clement Diot
  • I’m from USA and France
  • This is my first year on staff at Falling Creek
  • I’ll be teaching swimming and sailing
  • I am currently taking an extended gap year. In 2023 I graduated from film school in film production but I also thrive in sports and outdoor activities. I work as a seasonal in camps and resorts, mostly in the USA. I am specialized in outdoor education and food service.
  • Early bird or night owl? Definitely an early bird
  • If I had my own late night talk show, I would invite the artist Bad Bunny, because I am an avid fan of Latin trap and Reggaeton and he is one of Spotify’s most streamed artists.
  • My favorite holiday is Whit Sunday. Traditionally it’s the time of year when my relatives and cousins reunite for an extended weekend.
  • I would love to live in Peru for a year! I learned spanish for many years and I got the chance to meet and work last winter with Peruvians who were on a J1 visa. For these reasons, living in Peru would bring me invaluable experiences: meeting up with my friends again, getting more conversational in spanish, and touring the country’s cultural landmarks and national parks.
  • My favorite way to get in some exercise? Thru an intense warmup, stretching and some trivia.
  • Fun Fact: As a kid, I had my own concept on how adults get a job. You walk into a shop, the walls are covered by a pattern of squares. Each square has an illustration/symbol for a job and the name above it. You press on that square and a voice on a mic indicates you where to go. And now you’re all set for your first day’s work. If only job applications were that simple!
  • I am really looking forward to learning the important concepts and responsibilities I will undertake as lifeguard and sailing instructor. Overall, I also can’t wait to teach again and meet summer staff in May!
