Elea Wienpahl

  • My name is Elea Wienpahl
  • I’m from Germany
  • I’m graduating from the University of Koblenz, with a Master of Education (Elementary School Education) degree on 3/31/2024, I will be starting my teacher training as an elementary school teacher in November
  • This is my first year on staff at Falling Creek
  • I’ll be teaching horseback riding and pottery
  • Early bird or night owl? I love making the most of the day and having a long day. Therefore, I don’t mind getting up early. However, I am definitely a night owl. I enjoy staying up late and the atmosphere that the night brings. I love watching the stars, philosophizing about all sorts of things and having deep conversations. At night, when everything quietens down, I feel that my ideas, thoughts, and creativity are given a lot of space.
  • If I had my own late night talk show, I would probably invite Taylor Swift. I love her music! She’s a great artist and can express herself so incredibly well with words. I believe that people can communicate and connect through music. Music in general and concerts give so many people a sense of belonging and are therefore essential for us as a community.
  • What’s my favorite holiday? I’m a big fan of Christmas. Spending time with the people I love is the best thing in the world. Christmas is a time for everyone to come together, celebrate and be thankful. I also like building gingerbread houses, the beautiful warm lights in the cities and everything that comes with the Christmas season. I have a feeling that the Christmas season puts a smile on many faces.
  • If I could live anywhere in the world for a year, I would live in the USA. In fact, I have already lived in San Diego for 5 months and I loved it! For me, San Diego is the perfect mix of nature and city. I am a person who likes to discover new places and people. That’s why I traveled around the world with my friends and sister for six months after high school. I believe that there are many different places in the USA that are breathtaking and worth discovering.
  • I love horseback riding! It’s my favorite way to exercise. Spending time with horses and being out in the fresh air always relaxes me and makes me happy. When I have a lot of energy, I sometimes get on the elliptical, put on some music and let out my extra energy.
  • Fun Fact: I am an identical twin. I love my twin sister very much and spend a lot of time with her! However, we don’t fit the stereotype that we dress alike, are alike or that we can’t do anything without the other person. Instead, we are more like really close friends who enjoy sharing their individual experiences with one another. We are not the same, but rather complement each other.
  • I am very much looking forward to gaining unforgettable experiences with all camp participants, as well as learning and growing with and from them. I am excited to get to know many different people who are all unique and special in their own way. This will allow me to learn more about the people who live in our beautiful world. I am looking forward to an unforgettable time that I am sure we will have.
