My name is Birk
I’m from a small town in Germany
This is my first year on staff at Falling Creek
I’m teaching archery and outdoor skills
I started a career in finance. That got boring pretty fast, that’s why I work as a bartender at the moment. After camp I plan to do work and travel in Australia while studying artificial intelligence.
Early Bird or Night Owl? I have it either way. Some days I wake up at 4:45 am and start my day with a workout. But then I can also sleep in until 3 pm and turn the night to day!
My favorite way to get in some exercise? I like to go for runs and do calisthenics. Though if there’s a possibility to try/learn a new activity you can expect me to be one of the first trying it out!
Fun Fact: Growing up, I was in 9 different sports clubs.
I finally want to experience the diversity of the US in person. Especially interacting with people as different as they come is what I’m looking forward to the most.

Working at camp is the best summer job for college students!

We’ve got outdoor adventure jobs (backpacking, mountain biking, paddling, & rock climbing), lots of sports jobs (basketball, pickleball, soccer, tennis, etc.), classic camp jobs (archery, horseback riding, riflery, fishing & more), plus arts jobs (arts & crafts, blacksmithing, ceramics, woodworking…), plus nursing jobs, facilities, paid internships, and more!
