David Tagye

  • My name is David Tagye
  • I’m known as Sir Rat
  • This is my 3rd year on staff at Falling Creek (’21-’22, ’24)
  • I’ll be a camp nurse
  • I’m from Pacific NW, but now living in the Hickory NC area
  • I’m retired from working for a living and now working on kayaking, motorcycling, fishing, hiking, napping…
  • Early bird or night owl? Way early bird. Drives family and friends nutz
  • If I had my own late night talk show, my first guest would be Joshua from the Old Testament. I have so many questions. ie: You lead the people across the river where Moses left off. He had so many issues with the people who kept turning away, then back, then away again and so many times. Now you lead them and they continue doing so. Now all these years later and we’re still doing it. HOW did you deal with them???!!!!!
  • My favorite holiday is Easter. It’s the SuperBowl of Christian holidays. While I know Easter and Christmas is like the chicken and the egg, (one had to come first), I just think Easter was the big moment. No more “death”, only life.
  • If I could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would I choose? This might sound strange, but I love where I live. I can go anywhere within an hour and that would be the mountains… UP. I so love it here.
  • My favorite way to get in some exercise is just getting off the couch
  • Fun Fact: I’ll try (almost) anything twice. The first time might have been MY fault
  • What am I most looking forward to learning this summer? There is nothing I can learn. I know everything. OK, OK…. how about humility?
