Georgia to South Carolina
October 05, 2009

Yates continued his travels south from Atlanta stopping in Augusta on Monday where Alex and Katie Howard hosted the fun movie event. There were several current families who enjoyed the opportunity to share their FCC experiences with the new families who are planning to attend this summer.

In Savannah, Lolly and Emerson Cowart opened their doors to a mix of new families interested in learning more about FCC, current campers and alumni. Jeff Clark, who grew up in Atlanta and was a camper in the 70's, was at the show. He and his son have been a part of the Father/Son Weekend in the past. Jeff's wife is a teacher at Savannah Country Day school. Weston Newton was an FCC camper in the 70's and 80's and is a lawyer in Bluffton, SC, and chairman of the Beaufort County Commission. Weston is excited that his son will be going to FCC for the first time this summer!

Jill and Billy Ford hosted a large group in Charleston on Wednesday night. It was a great opportunity for the current FCC families and alumni to help Yates and the Ford's introduce Falling Creek to the many new families interested in camp. We could not have asked for a more beautiful night - 72 degrees and clear - and the Ford's set up the event to show the camp movie on a projector screen in the back yard.

Thanks again to the Howard's, Cowart's and Ford's for hosting the Falling Creek Camp movies this week!
