"Becoming a Man" Father/Son Camp
B.A.M is for a father and one son, age 11-17.
Partnering with families to help boys develop into strong, healthy men is the mission of Falling Creek. A critical part of this journey is the relationship a son has with his father.
Falling Creek has teamed with B.A.M. Adventures (Becoming A Man, Inc.) to offer an exciting opportunity available to fathers and sons. The weekend is designed to help each father and son foster a deeper, more meaningful relationship.
What really builds the relationship is when father and son do things together, particularly outdoors working side by side. It creates an adventure that empowers the son and delights the dad. The best place to create that adventure is at Falling Creek!
All of the activities during the weekend revolve around three principles:
- To strengthen the bond between father and son
- To empower the son
- To create adventure!
B.A.M. co-founders John, Tyler, and Drew Brantley have specifically designed a discussion guide to utilize during the weekend. Private one-on-one conversations between father and son will create the environment for positive affirmation, open and honest communication, and support. Plus, it will provide a healthy structure for both the son and father to discuss what they need from each other. John, Tyler, and Drew, along with longtime Falling Creek staff member, Dusty Davis, facilitate these transformational weekends.
