Falling Creek is a traditional boys summer camp that offers a balanced program with structured instructional activities. There are several sessions to choose from to best fit a camper’s summer calendar and goals for the experience.
Falling Creek’s June Camp session is 20 days and provides a great opportunity for first-time campers who are excited about all that camp has to offer. It’s also a logical next step for a boy who has attended a shorter session. The June Camp session offers a wide variety of activities and allows boys an opportunity to build self-confidence as they improve their skills and enhance their friendships. Campers live in cabin groups of eight and choose their six favorite activities to make up their daily schedule.
They also have an opportunity to participate in many out-of-camp trips including mountain biking, paddling, rock climbing, and backpacking.
Main Camp is Falling Creek’s premier session. Four weeks allows time for our camp community to bond and strong friendships to be formed. Campers experience personal growth as they build on successes each week. Longer trips are offered and opportunities for leadership are a central focus. The FLINT program for 10th grade boys and STEEL (formerly the Counselor-in-Training) program, Honor Council, and many traditions that take place the last week of the session are only offered during Main Camp. Most campers ultimately aspire to attend Main Camp.
It is truly a blessing to have such a great Christian-based camp that teaches the boys values and how to become better individuals. Thanks for all of the time that you [Yates] and your staff invests into making this camp what it is!” – James & Ashley Loging, Laurens, South Carolina (Parents)
Falling Creek’s 2-Week session is a well-rounded camp experience for less-seasoned campers. The activity schedule is similar to June and Main Camp, with six daily activity periods, but with fewer out-of-camp trips. Boys enjoy a wide variety of activities, and generally look forward to attending a longer session the following summer.
