There's Nothing Like Camp Friends

We received a fun note recently from Doug Hall. His son Tristan, a 5-year camper from Bradenton, FL, picked up camp buddies Will and Robert on their way through Georgia to paddle the Nantahala and Chattooga Rivers over a recent October weekend.

Will and Robert are returning to Main camp for their 8th and 7th summers respectively at camp. All have become good friends at Falling Creek and all have become avid whitewater paddlers. It’s great to see them grow their friendships doing what they have come to enjoy.

Doug’s note to us mentions:
“Yates, great days on the Nanty and Chattooga with Tristan, Robert and Will on Sat and Sun. Perfect fall weather and the boys handled the Falls and Bull Sluice no problem. They are much better than the adults! Kudos to Jez and your paddling staff. I hope all is well at camp.”

Tristan and Robert plan to go on the Falling Creek HUCK Costa Rica Paddling Expedition in late July, 2013 after Main camp, and Will is going on the FCC HUCK Southeast Paddling Expedition at the same time. We send them all a big “thumbs up” and congratulations on their huge progress as advanced whitewater boaters!
