Falling Creek movies in Greenville, SC

(l to r: Stephen Gray, Yates & Harrison Finney

Yates and his oldest daughter visited Greenville, SC on Monday, February 6 for the annual Falling Creek movie showing. Stephen (camper and counselor in the 80’s & 90s) and Eliza Gray hosted several new familes who came to learn more about our awesome camp. Harrison Finney, a main camper in 88-90, who is now living in Greenville with his family, came by to reconnect with FCC. Both he and Stephen shared stories of life at Falling Creek as a camper and staff member with the parents and future campers who attended.

Chris traveled to both Middle Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University to meet future counselors and reconnect with several of our current Falling Creek staff.

Falling Creek Pioneers in Camping

(l to r) Donnie Bain, Pop Hollingsworth and Steve Longenecker. Pop congratulates Donnie and Steve on the receipt of the prestigious Pioneers of Camping Club Award

Donnie & Kim, Yates & Marisa, Chuck and Steve Longenecker traveled to Chicago for the entire week to attend the annual American Camp Association National Conference. This event is always an excellent opportunity to learn about the current trends in camping, meet new resources and reconnect with friends and colleagues. This year was very special as not only did Steve Longenecker debut his new WEMA book at the conference, both he and Donnie were inducted into the “Pioneers of Camping Club”. This prestigious award was given for their 30 plus years of service in the camping movement. We are very proud of their accomplishment!
