Yates made his way further into south Florida to Coral Gables, where Art and Betsy Murphy hosted the Falling Creek Camp Movies and Reunion. Their sons, Teddy and Anderson have been campers at FCC for many years. Anderson will be returning to Main camp for his 6th time this coming summer and he’s only in 5th grade.
Anderson helped Yates with greeting the returning and new families and the boys had a blast playing games outside and eating pizza while others were arriving. Yates wants to thank all of the current campers in attendance who helped him to answer questions from new boys and their parents. The boys were also excited to receive their exclusive 2012 Trunk Sticker that you can only get if you come to the Movie/Reunion. The new design includes the Falling Creek Code.
John Crabtree, who is a Falling Creek Camp Alumnus, went to FCC for about five years in the mid 70’s. His son, John, Jr., is returning to August 2-week camp for his second summer, and John is thrilled to be planning to return to FCC himself at the Father/Son Weekend in May.
Thompson Lykes has also been a part of the Father/Son Weekends with his two sons, Mason and Palmer, both veteran FCC campers, who are returning to Main camp for their 5th and 4th summers.
Bill Mathes, and his son William, have also been a part of the Father/Son Weekend. His son, William, will be returning to June camp for his 4th summer.
Many thanks to the Murphy’s for opening their beautiful home to all of the Falling Creek families!
