When the weather is nice, Falling Creekers are out paddling, climbing, hiking and mountain biking. You never know who you will meet up with in the Western North Carolina Mountains this time of year!
Crom Carey, John Bates and Chris Stec ran into each other and paddled together on the Nantahala River.
John works at Talisman Academy in Hendersonville. Talisman is a year round residential academic alternative for adolescents and young adults ages 12 to 20 with Asperger’s Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, and similar spectrum disorders.
Crom is a senior at the University of Tennessee and has been a mountain biking trip leader and tribal leader at Falling Creek for several summers.
Chris Stec, former Program Director, is the Chief Operating Officer for the American Canoe Association.
