Enjoying the Fall in WNC

When the weather is nice, Falling Creekers are out paddling, climbing, hiking and mountain biking. You never know who you will meet up with in the Western North Carolina Mountains this time of year!

Crom Carey, John Bates and Chris Stec ran into each other and paddled together on the Nantahala River.

We thank the Janney’s for their wonderful hospitality in hosting the camp movies and reunion at their home.

Roscoe was a camper for 5 years and lives in the Louisville area.

Mike Nuckles, a staff member at FCC for the past two summers, drove over from Indiana University where he is in his first year of law school there.

Franklin Jelsma, a camper at Falling Creek in the mid 70’s came to reconnect with camp and introduced his two boys to the families from the Louisville area.

Neil and Thomas Simmons also joined us for the fun. They both have been a part of the Father/Son Weekend and Thomas is returning to camp for his second summer.

Yates was thrilled to reconnect with so many alumni and they all helped him introduce Falling Creek to the new families who came to learn more about camp. We send our thanks to the Starks’ family for opening their home to this big group!
