The Toolbox

We uploaded a new resource on our website for campers and parents called the Pre-Camp Toolbox.

Our Pre-Camp Toolbox gives you answers to your questions.

It contains answers to frequently asked questions and other information campers want to know before they attend camp.

Check it out for checklists, to download forms, and to find out everything there is to know about Falling Creek before you arrive!

The toolbox will be updated and added to, so if you think of something that is not included yet, please let us know.

Steven Stopped By

Steven Gaffin

Mary Lee, Steven and Yates

Steven Gaffin visited camp on December 31 with his girlfriend Mary Lee. Steven was a cabin counselor in 2007 and was a part of the photography program.

Steven stopped by to show Mary Lee the camp on his way to starting his new job with a NASA project in Huntsville, Alabama. Steven recently graduated from Auburn University with an Industrial Design degree and spent his 2008 summer on an internship in Taiwan. We wish Steven the very best with his new career!

The Carters and the Creek

Carter Family

Johnathan, Yates, Philip, and Talbot

Talbot Carter, the head of the Paddling staff in the late 70’s at Falling Creek, visited camp on Christmas Day with two of his three sons, Jonathan and Philip. Chris was unable to make the trip with them.

Talbot’s wife Jan was also a staff member in the 70’s teaching water skiing at Lake Summit. All three Carter boys are alumni of FCC, making it a full family connection to Falling Creek.

Yates was thrilled to reconnect as Talbot taught Yates how to paddle in 1978 and 1979 at FCC. The Carters live close by in Greenville, SC.
