“I have enjoyed being able to catch up with current campers, reconnect with FCC alumni and meet new families who are interested in Falling Creek Camp.” said Yates.

This week, Yates will be co-hosting the Falling Creek Movies with our representative families in Nashville, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Lexington. Yates has already visited Shelby and Greensboro, NC and Atlanta, GA. On Sunday afternoon October 8th, Ross and Libby Cheek hosted the Nashville, TN FCC “movies” and several families and alumni attended.

Interesting driving conditions

On Monday, Yates began his drive north to Cincinnati, OH and passed through Mammoth Cave National Park. The road he was on required him to board a ferry across the Green River to continue his trek. What a neat experience.

Julie and Noah Fleischmann hosted the FCC movies at their home on Monday evening, October 9th. It was a great opportunity to see a number of current campers. Three of the dads attending were campers at Falling Creek in the 70’s and 80’s. It was fun hearing stories from their FCC experiences.

Movie Showings are a great time for new families to meet with the Directors and other parents. It is also a chance for current campers and counselors in the area to reunite.
